This past week a customer came back to the dispensary to bring back a bin of edibles.
When the customer walked through the door with the bag, he had a look of brutal disappointment on his face.
I chose to speak with the customer personally. I have been the manager of the dispensary for the past several weeks. I am the man in charge of ordering our cannabis products. I kindly asked the customer to give me some reasons why the edibles were being returned, and the guy told me that they had the worst possible taste. The edible cannabis product was a bin of chocolate chip cookies. I opened the bin plus was able to smell what was inside. There was a rancid smell coming from inside. I made the move to open the bin of edibles. I dumped the entire package onto a piece of paper… Several cookies had different color spots that looked exactly like mold. The customer wanted myself and others to taste the edibles, but I was actually convinced by the brutal stink that putting a single one in my mouth did not seem necessary. The customer was mighty disappointed plus I tried to make things right. I told the guy that I could replace the product, although he wasn’t interested in getting the same type of thing. I even told the man we could replace the edible cannabis product with something of much greater value! He simply desired to have his money back plus there was nothing else I could do to put him at ease. After the customer left the store, I decided to try the cookies myself. The guy was definitely right plus they tasted plain awful. I decided to take down all of the cookies until I could have a conversation with the manufacturing supplier.
