My Grandmother has been raising me since I was 10 years of age, and both of our parents were strongly addicted to drugs. They were in plus out of jail plus then sentenced to prison when I was a little one. My Grandmother took custody of my sister plus I so the two of us did not have to be placed in the foster care system. I am drastically grateful that my Grandmother chose to step up, because my sister plus I were permitted to stay together. My Grandmother worked extremely hard to put a roof over my head plus food on the table! Even at 60 years of age, she was still maintaining a full-time career plus taking care of my sister plus I. I was able to finish high school plus got a scholarship to play basketball at the local community university. My good buddies plus I went to a recreational marijuana dispensary one morning plus picked out some pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes. Every one of us smoked most of them that weekend, but I honestly still had a half of a joint in my pocket when I went home. I was not thinking that my Grandmother would be able to smell the marijuana that I had on me, but she started asking a great deal of questions as soon as I made my way through the door. My Grandmother was honestly distraught that I was using recreational marijuana. I made an attempt to tell her that cannabis is not illegal at all, but she is distraught that I will develop a drug setback that will ruin the rest of my university studies. It’s pretty challenging attempting to explain recreational marijuana usage to my Grandmother. This is because most of her life has been a war on drugs. My mother has been in plus out of rehab since she was 20, and that must be difficult for her.
