Marijuana was legalized in the state where I live about ten years ago.

I wasn’t old enough to buy recreational marijuana at the time, but I turned 21 last year. The first place I wanted to visit was a legal marijuana dispensary. A lot of people look forward to going to a bar on their 21st birthday, but I was excited to visit the marijuana dispensary. Some friends of mine picked me up early that morning and we visited several different cannabis shops that day. I had a lot of fun looking at the different cannabis products. The shops had lots of different flower in a range of prices. They had wax, shatter, live resin, RSO, and vape pen cartridges. They also had a whole wall filled with different kinds of pot edibles. I was especially intrigued by the Edibles, because they had so many different flavors. I picked out a couple of different Edibles from each one of the shops. Since it was my birthday, several places gave me a free product with my purchase. I also received a huge discount at every single place that we visited since it was my first time. It’s nice to live in a state where marijuana is legal for recreational and medical use. Having access to the plant cuts down on the amount of crime in that category and the taxes provide benefits to the community. The money from marijuana taxes pays for upgrades like paved streets and new city parks. Everyone wins when cannabis is legalized across the board.
