The team can't be sponsored by the medical marijuana treatment facility

My son plays soccer for one of the organizations in town.

The team has to get a corporate sponsor every year. For the past five years, the corporate sponsor for the soccer team has been the family car dealership on green street. Last year at the end of the season, the team found out that the dealership was no longer going to sponsor the soccer team. My son was very upset and he was worried that he would not be able to play soccer the following year. I spoke with the owner of the medical marijuana treatment facility where I work. I explained the unique situation and how I thought it might be helpful to sponsor the soccer team. The owner agreed that it would be great publicity. I went to the soccer association to get the paperwork for the sponsorship. Everyone in the office was excited that I found a sponsor until they found out it was the medical marijuana treatment facility. They got quiet and started talking under their breath. The following day I received a telephone call from the soccer association. They wanted to let me know that my interest in helping to find a new sponsor was appreciated, but they would be unable to allow the medical marijuana treatment facility to be the sponsor. Apparently, the marijuana center is too risque to be a sponsor for the home team. I spent six hours talking my boss into being the sponsor. When she heard the news, she went to the town council to overturn the decision. She won too, and now the kids have the name of the medical marijuana treatment center on the back of their jerseys.
