Working at the cannabis dispensary

I believe whole-heartedly in the healing power of cannabis

My buddy helped to get me a job working at a recreational cannabis dispensary. It’s a really rewarding job. My buddy has been an employee since the dispensary first opened in our area. They were one of the first dispensaries to become established when recreational weed was legalized. When she heard that her boss was looking for more people, she recommended me. I was required to fill out an application and complete an interview. I went through quite a bit of educational training but I was thrilled when I got the job. My buddy and I often work the same schedule each week, allowing us to ride to work together and save on gas. My buddy and I typically work the weekends, when the dispensary is the most busy. When I started working at the dispensary, I was not totally familiar with all of the different delivery methods, strains and terminology. The education was a great start but my fellow budtenders were especially helpful. I’ve gradually become more familiar with the body’s endocannabinoid system and the way cannabinoids such as THC and CBD bind to receptors. My knowledge helps me to assist our customers. They come to me with questions about dosing and terpenes. I’ve made an effort to try all of our different options. When someone comes in and wants to treat aches and pains, psoriasis, stress, anxiety, insomnia or whatever ailments, I take pleasure in fulfilling their needs. I believe whole-heartedly in the healing power of cannabis. It is a natural remedy with none of the long-term harmful side-effects of pharmaceuticals.
