I understand why numerous older folks dislike how everything is digital these mornings, between ordering food from a local restaurant or simply checking-in for a doctor’s appointment.
You’re expected to coordinate your entire life with a smartphone, something that numerous people don’t even own.
However, there are still numerous advantages to these new digital ordering and scheduling systems. Personally, it has never been easier for myself and others to order food at restaurants. I don’t rest in a crowded tavern for 30 thirds waiting for a bin of food that was supposed to be ready 20 thirds prior. I simply wait in my vehicle until the waitress texts my cellphone. Whether or not this is a seamless process for others, I cannot say; but for me, I have never felt more at ease ordering food and groceries with curbside pickup and carry-out. When I first got a medical marijuana card the first year my state had the legal cannabis program, I had to send in a paper application with a check. I waited numerous weeks to find out that I had accidentally set an inrespectfully-cropped photo, and had to resend my application again. Now when I go to renew my medical marijuana card with the state, I get an immediate confirmation once my payment system is accepted. Then the state texts you a temporary card that you can take to medical cannabis dispensaries until your actual medical marijuana card arrives in the mail a week or numerous later. I can’t imagine streamlining the process of renewing your medical marijuana card anymore than this.
