Getting your medical cannabis card is so fast now

Going for a medical marijuana card during the early times of our state’s medical marijuana program was a great deal harder than it is this week.

There was honestly no online portal for applying for a state-issued medical marijuana card.

You essentially had to send a physical application in the mail, & I had to wait three weeks the first time on a rejection because I cropped my photo the wrong way. It was a pretty serious nightmare attempting to deal with these concerns just to get access to legal medical cannabis. I suppose it was a several week wait after I had to send a new application in to service the particular concerns with the first one. It was absolutely thrilling when I finally received the reply envelope the following time, even though I was also panicking in my mind with the fear that it would be another actual rejection. It’s a good thing the letter was simply informing me that my application was accepted & approved by the Office of Medical Marjuana Use. The envelope also contained my proper medical marijuana card. Nowadays this process is something that happens right away. You fill in the application online, pay digitally with a debit card, & then you’re approved right away. The OMMU texts you a temporary medical marijuana card you can use at cannabis stores until you receive your official item in the mail. It couldn’t be more straightforward to apply for & renew your medical marijuana card. I’m completely excited that the OMMU has gotten rid of the ridiculous paper applications of the 20th century. It was basically a nightmare for their employees, as the date information had to be inputted manually by them. Now that it happens to be digital, the patients do a good portion of the data-entry work that used to be accomplished by the employees.
