For the past six months, I have worked as the manager for a very busy recreational and medical cannabis dispensary.
I worked as a salesperson for six months, and then I was trained to become a manager. Since I took over, we haven’t had very many issues or problems. In fact, my sales are much higher than the other stores in this region. One of the reasons is due to creative advertising and sales. The owner of the recreational and medical cannabis dispensary allows me to make creative decisions and she never asks questions as long as we are making profits. Last weekend, we had a huge sale to celebrate five years in business in this local community. We had food trucks out front and 25% off everything inside of the store. We also had a wheel with free prizes and each person walking in the door got to spin the wheel. Most of the prizes were lanyards, key chains, pens, and hats with our dispensary name and logo. A couple of the prizes were free marijuana, edibles, or concentrate. One of the prizes was a goodie bag worth over $250. There was only one small space for this prize. Around 11 in the morning, a gentleman came into the store and spun the wheel. He landed on the space right next to the goodie bag, and he tried to argue that we were cheating. The guy in the lobby was trying to cause a scene and he started yelling and screaming. Thankfully, the security guard stepped in quickly and stopped the scene from escalating to a dangerous level.
