It is quite a difficult process to get certified for medical marijuana.

I practically had to jump through hoops to get the doctor to say yes. There were other states that would have automatically qualified me for medical marijuana, but this place is in the Bible Belt and they are holding onto their backwards laws as tightly as they can. I had to spend a fortune with the doctor before the guy would certify me for medical marijuana. Then I had to wait 3 weeks before the certification and card arrived in the mail. These two items were necessary to have in order to be able to shop at the medical marijuana dispensary. I was so excited and happy when my card arrived, until I realized that my name was misspelled. I didn’t think it was going to be a big deal until the lady at the desk would not let me into the dispensary. She claimed that the medical marijuana card could have been a fake or a fraud. I had all of the necessary paperwork attached to the card, but the lady still wouldn’t budge on her ruling. I got really upset and started cursing and swearing. The security guard stepped over to the counter where I was standing. I knew that I better leave before I got banned from the dispensary for life. I had to leave the building and call the state certification office to handle the problem.
