My friends and I were on our way home from a concert.
It was getting late and we were all feeling tired and worn out.
The concert lasted all day and I was ready to go home and get some sleep. The weather was extremely cold and rainy. We stopped at a rest stop to use the bathroom and grab some snacks. Jack suggested we smoke a joint before we went back on the highway. I thought it was a great idea. We got out a bag of marijuana and rolled up a joint. We sat in the car and smoked the joint before we drove away from the rest stop. I smoked half of the joint and I felt very high. I thought I was seeing things, when a turkey ran across the road. I mentioned something to my friends and they could see the turkey as well. The animal came out of nowhere. The turkey ran across the road and then stopped, turned around, and started staring at all of my friends and I. It seemed like the turkey was trying to communicate with us. My friends and I were probably just really high from smoking a marijuana joint, but the encounter with the turkey was an experience that I will not forget for a long time. Shortly after we saw the turkey, we got back into the car and drove the rest of the way home. The next morning, all of us talked about that turkey and agreed that it was a very strange and odd encounter.
