There was actually a time when I called a coworker out for missing so many work days due to migraine headaches. That’s how entirely ignorant I was about the devastating effects of migraine headaches. Recently, I spent time finding that man and apologizing to him for my lack of compassion and understanding. This is because I know, from personal experience, how brutal migraines are. And it’s not me that I’m speaking of. I have had to watch my husband suffer terribly for the whole past year. However, I’m satisfied to say that we found an added resource in medical marijuana. My husband has had his life totally interrupted due to the migraines. There are medications that help but they come with certain side effects that just weren’t nice for him. So in my efforts to help him, I ended up going to some cannabis events that focused on migraine headaches. This ended up with me getting a rather solid medical marijuana education. From there, I figured out how to get a medical marijuana card for my guy. Then we got great help from the marijuana dispensary and he started using the cannabis flower products. The change has been amazing. I was hoping for some mild improvement for the man but the results have been quite impressive. His migraine days have been pretty much cut in half. And the severity of a migraine episode has been reduced even more than that. I couldn’t be more thankful to have medical cannabis access for my husband. His life is now much more in his control and something he can totally prefer again. I’m just ecstatic to see him up and around with a smile on his face these days.
