During the holidays, the marijuana dispensary is just as busy as any other shop or store.
Many patients are stocking up for the holidays or buying last minute items for the weekend or parties.
We regularly have 200 customers through the doors in an hour. We had a ton of sales on Black Friday this year, just like all of the other department stores and shops. We offered huge savings on every item inside of the store and we had a couple of buy one and get one for free sales. On Black Friday, we had more than 1,000 customers come into the marijuana dispensary. We had two people working at the front door. One was a staff member and the other person was a security officer. We normally ask customers for identification once they are inside of the dispensary. On Black Friday, it was much busier and we were requesting identification from all of the customers before they even walked inside of the building. One customer was standing outside with an older man. I asked both men for identification and both men presented me with an identification card. Unfortunately, the younger man’s identification card was being reported as fraudulent. The old man tried to convince me that it was his son and he was old enough. Unfortunately, I couldn’t let the guy inside of the building without ID and I couldn’t let the other guy inside because they were together. I really thought there was going to be some type of problem when I politely asked the man to leave the line, but he just mumbled under his breath and walked back to his car.
