The worst part about working as a delivery driver is having to climb stairs when you have a delivery on the 3rd or 4th floor of an apartment building.
Most of the apartment buildings in town have three or four floors.
Most of them do not have an elevator. The only places with elevators are the high-rises that are located downtown. These buildings have 10 or more floors. It would take forever to walk up 10 flights of stairs. I had to walk up eight flights of stairs on Saturday when I delivered marijuana to a person in the high-rise building. The customer ordered marijuana supplies from the delivery service but he did not tell anyone that the elevator in the apartment building was broken. The guy was on the 8th floor. If we had known there was no elevator, then we would have asked the customer to meet the delivery driver in the lobby. The delivery driver turned out to be me and I had to walk up all of the stairs. That was the first time in a long time that I forgot something in an order and of course it was on a day when I had to walk all of those stairs. The customer was supposed to get a free marijuana pre-roll with their order and I had all of the pre-rolls in a bag in my back seat. I had to go all the way back down to the car to get the free marijuana pre-roll. I walked a total of 32 flights of stairs that evening. I was ready for a break after that delivery.
