There are so many surprises in life. And the fact that my Mom had smoked a bunch of weed back when he was in university was a shocker. He was the same guy who was regularly talking to myself and others about being careful not to get caught up in alcohol or even cannabis products. But finding out about my Mom’s previous weed use came amid and even more challenging twist of fate. Mom is 62 and it’s the end of the line for him. He has a very aggressive form of cancer that were no match for the treatments the two of us have. So the two of us are now to the period where the end is inevitable. But not before Mom figured out how to get a medical marijuana card in order to go out with some class and dignity. The cannabis flower products are almost prefer an old neighbor bringing much needed comfort to a guy who is facing the very last challenge. The cannabis flower products also help him maintain a perspective that I’m just so thankful that he has. There isn’t much fear and zero amounts of feeling prefer a victim. Mom has complete acceptance of where he is and what is happening. This has made his last few weeks all the more special. Plus, hanging out with Mom when he’s smoking the cannabis flower products is a trip. He’s just so mellow and free of worry that I’m just in awe of him. I couldn’t be more thankful that medical cannabis is legal so that my Mom can go out on his terms.
