Mom knew what she wanted

It’s so nice to have my mom living near us these days.

After dad died, she was understandably resistant to leaving the family home.

Dad got sick and died suddenly, so it was all sort of a blur for her. But, apparently, my mom was buying for dad medical marijuana to treat some of the symptoms he had while being treated for advanced cancer. It sounds like dad was going to use any kind of cannabis product, unless my mom tried it with him. It’s really quite a story, and that’s one of the reasons I’m so excited that she’s living down the road from us now. It took her the better part of three years after dad died, before she was ready to do her own thing, to start over. She and dad were a team, so she was devastated for quite awhile, and then tried to start fresh, but being in the same home with all the reminders was holding her back. Finally, she took me up on the offer of a nice two-bedroom house near us, with plenty of access to her beloved grandkids. Those great kids care about my mom like no other, and that has absolutely helped heal her heart and help her get on with life. Mom also likes to make trips to the local cannabis dispensary; she has developed a taste for sativa strains. It’s so refreshing to go shopping for marijuana with my mother. She’s like a total pro, and could tell you all sorts of things about new cannabis strains that I had no idea about!
