I finally walked into a local business recently where I felt truly welcomed. At the local cannabis spot, I was greeted immediately by the staff with eye contact, a smile and someone wishing me a good day. They seemed like they truly meant it. And these folks were all just happily going about their work, helping customers find the marijuana products they wanted. It was truly stunning. Perhaps this is how all cannabis dispensaries are? I don’t know. I’m new to buying marijuana, and this is the only dispensary I’ve ever been to. In my state, recreational marijuana has just been legalized, joining medical marijuana. So now, if you’re of age, you can buy marijuana worry-free, at a cannabis dispensary. I once promised myself that if marijuana was ever legal, I’d give it a try. For my entire adult life, I avoided using marijuana. It was illegal to start with, and I’m a stay within the law sort of person. And I truly didn’t have people in my circle who smoked marijuana. Once it was legal, though, I kept that promise to myself; I was curious to see what this sativa and indica were all about. That’s what prompted me to walk into this local cannabis store, where I was treated like a real, valued friend. They helped me with a wonderful starter sampler kit. And wow, now I understand what all the fuss is when it comes to how great sativa and indica strains are. I know how they make me feel! I took it slow just like the people at the local cannabis spot suggested. There is a feeling of hopefulness, joy and opportunity that I don’t think I’ve ever experienced, at least not like this before!
