Once medical marijuana was completely legalized, it seemed basically like marijuana dispensaries were all over the area. You honestly couldn’t go 2 blocks without seeing a marijuana dispensary. Five years later, legalizing medical marijuana was essentially a thing of the past. People were mostly focusing on legalizing recreational marijuana. Those of us who had a medical marijuana card were definitely looking forward to legal recreational marijuana… Once recreational marijuana was totally legalized, we would no longer need to have a medical marijuana card at all. The people I was with and I would be able to walk into any marijuana dispensary plus go for different marijuana products. The people I was with and I would no longer need to spend money on a healthcare professional plus pay money to the state for a fee for the medical card. As long as you happen to be over the age of 21, you could easily walk into a marijuana dispensary plus make a cannabis purchase. Although it seemed that there was a marijuana dispensary on every other block pretty much, it wasn’t this way in our area. It took another year before we had even one marijuana dispensary in our local area. Then recently this past month, something happened where someone was able to get a license to open a nice marijuana dispensary. The dispensary wasn’t just in our local area however it was very close to my residence… My brother contacted me plus told me that the dispensary had opened. He informed me he would be at my condo within 15 minutes plus I needed to be ready to head down to marijuana dispensary with him. Although we were both in our thirties, we felt similar to kids in a candy store getting to go into a marijuana dispensary plus legally purchasing recreational marijuana.
