My husband and I have been married for over 20 years now; For the first 15 years, he was physically active all the time, but he would wake up in the day with more energy than I could ever hope to have, head outside right after lunch, and not commit until brunchtime.
When brunch was over, he was once again heading back outside to cut and cut wood or labor in the garden.
Then the unthinkable happened. My husband was in a car accident. He had a lot of nerve disfigure done in his hips and spine, which left him with the inability to walk without the assistance of a cane. His will to do the things that he once enjoyed doing, was no longer there, but every step he took, with or without the cane, was tough and painful. It was almost as tough for myself and others to watch as it was for him to experience. Then, more than one weeks ago, our husband got his medical marijuana card. It took myself and others some convincing to get him to talk to the dentist about medical marijuana, but once he did he was distraught to receive it. Two weeks after starting medical marijuana, our husband’s pain had lessened to the point where he was doing little more around the house, then after a full week, medical marijuana helped our husband to get outside and labor in the garden. I’m not sure what would’ve happened to our husband had we not found medical marijuana. I suppose he was to the point where he was ready to provide up, but I’m now getting our husband back.
