For the past six months, I have been working as a cannabis dispensary budtender. I enjoy the job a great deal and I get great discounts on marijuana products. Discounts on marijuana products is one of the biggest reasons why I decided to take the job. I was spending a fortune on medical marijuana supplies and the dispensary offers 50% off of everything in the store for employees. It really makes you wonder about all of the markups on cannabis products. My job for the past two months has been to come into the store in the morning and start working on the delivery orders. Each morning when the cannabis shop opens, there is ten or fifteen orders usually waiting to be reviewed and approved. When I came to work earlier this week, I was very surprised when there were no orders in the morning. I immediately became alarmed and I decided to check the online website. Our servers were down and the website was not working. I told the manager about the problem and she contacted someone in our IT Department. They quickly had the website back online, but we found out that it was down for 3 hours that morning. That was really bad news to hear. It’s hard to know how many customers might have tried to order from the website, because none of the orders were completed. We had no way to contact the customers, and the day was filled with one customer complaint after another. Several customers were so mad that they promised never to use our dispensary again.
