A fishing trip and a marijuana buy

My neighbor Hank invited me to go fishing up in the mountains last weekend.

It was going to be a 2-day affair, because if Hank was making such a long drive he wanted to get the maximum amount of fishing in.

Hank doesn’t even eat fish, and always throws back whatever he catches after taking a picture. He loves fishing for the sport of it, and for the mental tranquility it brings. Sitting in the middle of a picturesque lake at sunrise is a moment unlike any other! I will admit I was shocked and taken aback when I realized this trip served another purpose. Besides the fishing, Hank was buying an insane amount of cannabis from a local farmer. I had no idea that Hank was selling cannabis! He has a connection who lives in the mountains, and a few times a year Hank drives up here to purchase 10 to 20 pounds of cannabis. I did not attend that business transaction with Hank, of course, because it’s awful suspicious to bring a new face on a big marijuana purchase. This area does not have any legal cannabis shops or dispensaries as of yet, so Hank doesn’t see his actions as being immoral or criminal. There are a lot of sick and old folks in the area who need medical cannabis, and the government denies them. Hank is offering a public service, hooking up a few of his friends and neighbors with the medical-grade cannabis products they need to feel better. I hope he has enough to sell some marijuana to me!
