I was very unsure how medical marijuana worked; I talked to a doctor to see if I qualified.
I had been confined to a wheelchair for over a year now, because of harm to my leg muscles.
I wondered if smoking medical marijuana could reduce the pain so I could get physical therapy and start walking again. I felt that I was a burden on my family, and I didn’t want to add more stress to their lives. I talked to my normal doctor, but he knew little about using medical marijuana, then he gave me the name of a doctor to explain how to use, and what I may need; When I talked to the doctor, although I didn’t want to try medical marijuana yet, he made me spend my money $200 for the visit. I asked him if there were any special marijuana products for odd ailments. His question was to ask what was wrong with me. He could plainly see I was in a wheelchair, and I couldn’t understand why he would need more clarification. I told him about the car accident and the harm done to my leg muscles. He said that it all depended if I wanted energy, pain relief, or something to help me sleep. I told him I needed medical marijuana to help me walk again. He wasn’t sure if that could happen, but he said that medical marijuana worked wonders for several people. It wasn’t the answer I wanted, however apart from getting the state-issued medical marijuana card and talking to a marijuana dispensary pharmacist, I would not get any real answers. I opted to not get medical marijuana, and do physical therapy.
