I do the snowbird thing.
- I go from a tightly regulated eastern state or a much looser western state.
I go from harsh mask mandates and COVID protocols to nobody even acknowledging the virus is a thing. I also change from state tax and terrible political climates to a much more liberal state. Another benefit is that one state only allows medical weed and the other one is recreational cannabis friendly. I only use cannabis in order to sleep at night. I have cannabis oil and gummies that I sometimes take to sleep. Every night the cannabis oil goes into my cup of tea. It usually soothes my mind and helps me relax in bed. Occasionally it doesn’t quite do the trick. Then I eat two gummies with a high THC content and I totally zonk out. I sleep so well. I feel more energetic and rested throughout the day. I am in a good mood and productive at work. When I return back to the east, I don’t get to bring my cannabis products. I then have to rely on a sound machine, a good pillow and hope that I get a decent night of rest. Going from easy nights of sleep to insomnia is just horrible. I have thought about becoming a medical weed patient so that I can have my oil and gummies in both locations. However, the snowbird life is a short term thing. Eventually I am going to live out west full time and have access to legal weed.
