Since the guy had just left our store, he thought the people I was with and I were responsible for the injuries he acquired
Every time there happens to be ice plus snow outside, I worry a great deal about someone stumbling down the stairs. The cannabis shop where I have a job is situated in a strip mall with all kinds of stores! In order to access the building, you have to take the stairs to the underground levels. The cannabis shop is downstairs in one of the lower levels. When it snows or there happens to be ice, the stairs are regularly slippery. The building supervisor does not hire anybody to salt the stairs, plus that can be dangerous when the weather is not very nice. A few days ago, there was a few inches of snow overnight. In the daytime hours, the sun started to melt the snow plus the stairs were extremely slick. One of our regular buyers came to the cannabis shop to get their order. The guy had a small amount of pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes from the dispensary. On his way upstairs, he fell down the stairs plus tumbled all the way to the bottom… He had a hard time getting off the ground plus the security guard from the dispensary came to assist him with his trouble. Since the guy had just left our store, he thought the people I was with and I were responsible for the injuries he acquired. I let the guy know that I would be thrilled to refund the amount of cash that he paid for the order as a courtesy, however I instructed him to reach out to the building supervisor if he experienced injuries that needed to be addressed. I knew it wasn’t our responsibility to cover the amount for medical bills even if he was leaving the cannabis store at the time.
