I started developing sleeping setbacks while in the beginning of middle school.
I think that a certain part was from drinking so much tea & caffeine in general, however that was in response to sedation in the first place.
In reality, it was the crucial stress from being a student in advanced placement classes & being bothered about tests & homework assignments. I also had a job while in middle school & had that as an extra source of stress looming over my head. It would have been completely easy for me to get started with smoking weed as a young teenager & using that as a means of escape from my incredibly frantic life. Thankfully I was able to keep my wits about myself and waited to try cannabis until after I had applied & been accepted into school. I totally enjoyed how indica strains of cannabis were extremely helpful with my chronic insomnia, so I hoped I could achieve the same with CBD products when I gave up weed for a career years later. Regrettably, CBD doesn’t act at all like a sedative of some of the other cannabinoids & terpenes found in the cannabis plant. A medical marijuana physician informed me that CBD by itself can produce stimulant-like effects by contrast. That’s why some say it’s marvelous as a mild antidepressant & use it for that same reason. He also told me that terpenes similar to caryophyllene & beta-myrcene are what I need to look for when checking different cannabis extracts if I want to actually feel tired & sedated. For example, a high CBD extract that is rich in sedating terpenes could produce sedating effects compared to pure CBD items. It’s about trying to find the right cannabis products for your particular ailment.
