It isn’t as hard to become a cannabis delivery driver as I would have assumed. My cousin Charlie told me that he’s working for a dispensary, doing the deliveries. I was so surprised that I looked into the required qualifications. Charlie isn’t exactly the type of guy I would hire to be professional and punctual. His work history isn’t overly impressive. However, he has a clean driving record. He has never even had a parking ticket but has lots of experience driving. Apparently that is all that’s required for the job. It is not difficult to become an uber or lyft driver. It is pretty much that easy to drive for a cannabis dispensary. A lot of drivers prefer this because they are not responsible for human passages. It seems less of a hassle to deliver weed. The job also provides a decent monetary incentive. It offers a higher wage than for pizza delivery. The people ordering the product are probably in a good mood and delighted to receive delivery. After further research, I found that medical marijuana delivery drivers go through a more rigorous screening process. They need to pass a background check and be more knowledgeable about cannabis products. There is more paperwork necessary for the job because of handling prescriptions. It still isn’t as difficult as I would have thought. Just about anyone can get hired for a delivery job. My cousin likes working with cannabis products. He is good at finding homes & very friendly when he greets people at the door. He likes cannabis delivery better than any other delivery service he has done in the past. He makes more money. I would guess he earns between 20 and 30 grand a year from the cannabis dispensary.
