If I learned anything at all over recent years, it’s that everything can change seemingly overnight.
That first wave of COVID particularly hit our region hard, and the lockdown was not fun.
Suddenly every one of us were all trapped in our properties for long periods of time, and the whole thought of going outside was spine-chilling. At the time I had no concept of planning ahead, either with my meals, my beer, or my reefer. Realizing that you have no dispensary to make your way to, and that you only have so many grams of cannabis left, is a massive concern. After that initial crisis was finally over, and one of the local cannabis dispensaries opened up for curbside pick-up service, I started planning ahead after that… I already had numerous glass jars, and a vacuum sealer, from when I used to can vegetables. The plan basically was to buy a lot of cannabis at once, and then seal most of it up and store it away for a rainy day. It turns out I was not alone thinking about this. The cannabis dispensary had to place caps on orders because their supply was running short in no time. When most people have the desire to bulk buy cannabis at the same time, it can put a fairly crucial strain on the supply chain, so the dispensary owner limits purchase amounts altogether. I didn’t appreciate that, however since I had no choice I just purchased the maximum amount of cannabis whenever I would go to the dispensary. I also stocked up on a bunch of vape cartridges, the kind with both CBD and THC flavor packs. I am getting my weed jar filled up slowly.
