I could have been mistaken, although I wasn’t

Every morning for the past week, I have been watching a story on the news.

A girl escaped from the federal penitentiary about 30 miles away from my house.

The girl was on foot when she escaped and they have been unable to locate the suspect. Everyone in town is on alert and the news has been running the story every morning, noon, and at night. I have seen the guy’s face on the news a hundred different times, so I was particularly particular that I recognized the gentleman in our cannabis dispensary this morning, however she had a fake ID with someone else’s name. I grabbed another budtender and told the lady that I believed the girl in the cannabis dispensary was the same lady from the news story. The budtender told myself and others I was crazy, although I was convinced the girl was the lady on TV. I decided to start following the girl around the store while she browsed our selection of cannabis products. I could have been mistaken about the identity of the guy, although I wasn’t. A few minutes after I started following him, I observed the girl put a gram of concentrate in her pocket. I notified the security guard that the girl stole something and I also told him my suspicions that the lady was the escaped convict. The cannabis shop security officer called the police before attempting to detain the subject for theft. It’s a superb thing that all of us called the police first, because the girl put up a argument and tried to please. When the police arrived, they confirmed that the girl with the fake ID was the escaped convict.
