As soon as I exited the highway and made the marijuana delivery, I went to the auto parts store to get a new pair of windshield wipers.
I knew that I needed new wipers for my windshield, but I didn’t make it a priority to get them changed. We rarely have rain in the city. It’s just something that does not occur. Unfortunately, when the rain does happen, it can be very quick and sudden. Last Friday night was extremely busy. I was delivering marijuana orders for the dispensary. I was supposed to work an 8-hour shift. I started my day at 2 and 4 p.m., it already started to look like nighttime outside. The storm clouds were rolling into the valley and it was clearly going to rain. I hoped the rain would stay away so I could finish all of my marijuana deliveries before I went back home. I was on the bridge when the rain started to fall heavily. I tried to use my windshield wipers. One of them fell apart completely and the other one was the passenger side wiper. It was getting some of the rain but not a lot. I opened up my window so I could look outside for a better view of the traffic. As soon as I exited the highway and made the marijuana delivery, I went to the auto parts store to get a new pair of windshield wipers. Thankfully one of the store clerks offered to put the wipers on the car for me so I did not have to stand out in the rain. The guy had an umbrella and he was a member of the store service team. I thanked the guy for helping me out in a jiffy and I tried to give him a tip. He refused the money and told me to stay safe.
