I had to find a new glass company after the market collapsed

As the manager for a large cannabis production company, it’s my job to make sure that the business runs as smoothly as possible. It’s also my job to make sure we spend the least amount of money on supplies. Each month I get a report that tells me how much money we spend on supplies. The report shows all of our incoming and outgoing expenses. Last month I realized something very odd and peculiar on the report. We’ve had a contract with a cannabis dispensary for a long time. When they originally gave us the contract, we were only supplying glass jars for the cannabis concentrate prod. We were supplying the jars at a piece-rate. Since 5 years ago, we have not raised our rates at all. They have gone on to use our glass services for other items in the store such as dried marijuana flower and edibles. I set up a meeting with the owner of the cannabis dispensary. The guy came to my office. He knew what we were going to talk about when he walked through those doors. I think that’s why he had such a chip on his shoulder. When I mentioned the inflating prices and the fees we have been charging for five years, the guy got mad and started yelling. He accused me of trying to gouge him for more money. I tried to get the owner of the Cannabis business to calm down, but he didn’t want to hear anything after I told him that production prices were going up in 90 days. Any chance I had of working things out after that was gone.
