One of the strict policies at task is about time off.
The manager at the marijuana dispensary rarely gives someone a day off even if they request it.
Pat prefers to use the same schedule every week. If someone wants a day off, then they need to trade or find someone to cover the shift. Overtime is allowed at the marijuana dispensary, so I can usually find someone else to take my shift. I told Pat that I needed to be off on Friday evening. Pat gave myself and others the same song plus dance that she always does. Pat told myself and others that she could not promise to give myself and others the time off. I told Pat that I was supposed to meet my girlfriend’s parents for brunch. I wasn’t going to miss it. Pat gave myself and others the names of the people that were not scheduled to task on Friday evening plus Pat told myself and others to call a single of them to cover the shift. I called Jacky first. I left a message on his voicemail. I called Sarah next. She did not answer the iphone either. I was talking on the iphone with another person when Jacky called myself and others back. I sent Jacky to voicemail while I finished talking to Carl. Carl already had plans for Friday evening plus he could not opening up the shift. Thankfully, Jacky was willing to cover the shift. When I called him back on the iphone, Jacky said he would happily opening up the hours on Friday. Jacky gave to trade days with myself and others so I would not miss any time, even though I wasn’t that worried about the hours. I just needed someone to cover the shift so I could finally meet my future in-laws.
