If I learned much of anything over the last two years, it’s that everything can change basically overnight.
That first wave of COVID completely hit our section hard, & the lockdown was serious.
Suddenly the bunch of us were all trapped in our residences for long periods of time, & the idea of going outside was disturbing. At the time I had no idea about planning ahead, either with my meals, my beer, or my weed. Realizing that you have no dispensary that is open & that you only have two grams of cannabis left, is a solid shock. After that initial crisis was finally resolved, & one of the local cannabis dispensaries opened up for curbside pick-up service, I started planning ahead. I actually had a series of glass jars, & a vacuum sealer, from when I used to can vegetables! My idea was to buy a decent amount of cannabis at one time, & then seal most of it up & store it away for when I really needed it. It turns out I was not alone thinking about such a plan, & the cannabis dispensary had to place caps on orders because their supply was running short in a hurry. When all the people want to bulk buy cannabis at the same time, it can put a sizable strain on the supply chain, so the dispensary owner limits purchase amounts completely. I didn’t enjoy that, but since I had no option I just purchased the maximum amount of cannabis when going to the dispensary. I also stocked up on additional vape cartridges, the style with both CBD & THC flavor packs. I am slowly filling up the jar of weed.
