He begged me not to press charges.
For the past five months, I have noticed some very weird things at the pot shop. The stock & inventory numbers were not matching, and everything seemed to be correct when the products happened to be entered into the system. Items end up missing by the time we do our final count, but I have wondered oftentimes if it is an employee that is stealing or if a person is making mistakes at the register. I finally figured out the setback & I caught the Bandit! We had a shipment of cannabis concentrate on Tuesday. The regular crew of 6 people were busy & I noticed a different motorcar in the parking lot. I did not suspect anything about the different motorcar in the parking lot until the delivery distributor arrived with our pressing cannabis shipment. I got everything out of the truck & performed that official count. Everything was correct and looked good. I left the warehouse & headed back into the pot shop. I made the choice to walk back to the area, which is something legitimately unrespected that I would not regularly do. I saw a single of our employees & they were taking a bucket of things out the emergency exit door. The alarm was not going off, so it was obvious that it was disarmed. I immediately shouted to the employee, however he stopped & dropped the bag. He begged me not to press charges. This actual guy had $1,500 worth of merchandise in the bag. I legitimately was alarmed about this matter. I trusted the employee for a long period of time & the whole time he was stealing from the pot shop. I did not really think there could be any other option except to contact the police.
