It was hard for me to admit that I needed help.

I guess I never really gave a lot of thought to whether or not my depression was affecting my children or my husband.

I knew that I was having a difficult time with the depression, but I didn’t think it was actually affecting them.

One afternoon, my husband and I sat down to talk. He told me that I had to get the depression under control, or he and the children would have to leave. He showed me a website he had found online. The website was discussing medical marijuana and what all it could do to help me. It gave case studies to prove how much help medical marijuana has been given to people who suffered from manic depression. That evening, my husband and I sat down at the computer and started filling out all the information on the website. We found out that our state was one of the last ones to have passed laws concerning medical marijuana and they told us all the information we needed for me to get a medical marijuana card. My husband also had to fill out an information area because he was going to be my caretaker. If I was unable to go to the medical marijuana dispensary to pick up my marijuana, he would be able to go in for me. After getting my medical marijuana card and heading into the marijuana dispensary, I finally felt some comfort. I knew that I was finally taking control of my life, and of my depression. I knew medical marijuana was going to be the saving grace for both my marriage and for my children.
