Medical cannabis might be legal, but there are some limitations

Besides some popular opinions, not all states have fully legalized the use of all marijuana.

In fact, after the federal government passed the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 aka the 2018 Farm Bill that authorizes hemp production, many states have only legalized certain products.

Not to mention many of them are still passing laws for legalization. In some states medical marijuana is legal, but CBD products as well as edibles are illegal. While other states legalized everything including edibles, CBD products as well as medical marijuana. While the federal law opened the door for legalization, it is recommended to follow the cannabis rules and regulations that apply to your state. This will guarantee that you’re not breaking the law when engaging in CBD or marijuana products. Personally, I live in a conservative state in the Southern part of the country and the cannabis laws are a bit harsh in the state considering that cannabis is legal in other states. While medical marijuana was legalized in my state, you are required to have a medical marijuana card in order to legally purchase cannabis products for medical use. However, you can easily ask someone to purchase CBD products or edibles for you, but if you are caught with any of the products, there will be legal consequences. They can include either a fine, a driver’s license suspension or some jail time, depending on the type of offense. For some, the chances of getting caught with these products are slim to none, but it’s good to know the laws that apply. My hope is that one day, medical cannabis becomes fully legal here, where no card is required to buy.
