My doctor suggested that I try medical marijuana.

Whenever a new medical idea comes up that can help with depression, my doctor Kim holds a conference call with me and other people in my therapy group.

Dr.

Kim has discussed everything from hypnosis to new medicine. Last week, Kim had a big conference call instead of a daily meeting. Kim wanted to discuss the merits of medical marijuana. Kim had been to a symposium that had medical marijuana at the top of their things to discuss. Kim prefaced his discussion by letting us know this was just a discussion. Kim was making no suggestions, and he wanted us to know it was an expensive treatment not covered by insurance. Kim talked about medical marijuana. Many specialists were now looking hard at medical marijuana to treat several conditions. One of the top treatments was for people going through intense chemo, and he then talked about pain and anxieties or depression. Kim gave us a website address where my buddy and I could study about medical marijuana. Ultimately, the choice on whether or not to use medical marijuana was up to the patient, but Kim wanted everyone to be well-informed. When I had my appointment two weeks later, Dr. Kim asked if I had gone through the website. I told him I study everything, although I still wasn’t sure I was ready to try medical marijuana. When or if I ever decided he was going to help me get a medical marijuana card. I wondered if he gave that offer to all of his patients, or if it was just for me. I was sure he had depression patients a lot worse than I was, although I didn’t know them all, except as voices over the telephone.
