I started a little side hustle from home, where I would make and give out cookies, brownies, or other yummy pastries.
- It was something that I started to do because I loved it.
I was making all these sweets anyway, so why not try to make some currency from it? The only customer that I had for the longest time was my great Aunt Ruth, who lives in an old folks condo nearby. I believe the main reason Ruth did it was to support me, and to keep myself and others coming over to visit her! One morning great Aunt Ruth gave myself and others a bombshell of an idea – to start baking cannabis edibles instead, and selling them to her and the other old folks. Ruth explained to myself and others that a good many of the senior citizens in the building enjoyed cannabis, however there was an undoubtedly strict no smoking policy in location. This made sense, of course, because with so many residents with diminished breathing capacity, any cannabis smoke could be dangerous. The need for smokeless cannabis was undoubtedly high in this location, so Ruth and I decided it would be smart to take advantage of that. To be clear, Ruth and I weren’t “taking advantage” of the old folks, the people I was with and I were helping them by delivering the cannabis edibles. The edibles made their lives better, and they didn’t mind spending a few bucks per edible treat. Great Aunt Ruth thought that I could expand to other old folks homes, too, however my hands were full supplying edibles to just 1 single home! I would need to hire help, and buy a lot more cannabis, to expand my production the way Ruth envisioned.
