A “pot” luck dinner

For these potluck dinners we stick with the theme of food and bring medical cannabis edibles of all varieties.

Once a month, a small group of families all get together for a potluck dinner. That means everyone brings a dish, and we eat them all collectively in a buffet style dinner. There are four of us who are best friends going back to high school. Twenty years later we are still as thick as thieves, and made sure our families are all friends, as well. The potluck dinner is sort of a sham, however. After everyone has eaten, and the kids are either in bed or watching a movie in the front room, we break out the medical cannabis and the real “potluck” begins! Of course we can’t smoke inside the house. Medical cannabis is so pungent that to light it up is to make the entire domicile reek of the skunk weed. With the dangers of secondhand smoke known to all of us, smoking medical marijuana is only done on nights when the kids are away. For these potluck dinners we stick with the theme of food and bring medical cannabis edibles of all varieties. Usually we coordinate ahead of time, so that we have the greatest possible variety of cannabis products to sample. I have become a big fan of the cannabis drinks, which are either juice or coffee based and heavily loaded with THC and CBD both. Cannabis gummies and hard candies are also a big favorite, but I tend to stay away from the cannabis infused cookies and cakes. Why don’t they make savory dishes with medical cannabis in them? I could go for a cannabis infused mac and cheese!

Medical cannabis is better with other people

If someone is getting high for the first time, I think it is common courtesy to lead them through the experience, to “hold their hand” so to speak, because they are inexperienced.

When someone is a regular smoker, however, I expect them to understand the little unwritten rules that guide our culture.

Potheads have etiquette, you see, and when you smoke with other people, there is a certain code of conduct everyone should follow. For example, never pack a bowl out of someone else’s medical cannabis supply. In fact, you should never touch another person’s medical cannabis without their express permission! Medical cannabis is expensive, and in some cases it is only available by prescription, so taking some without asking is the same as going through their bathroom medicine cabinet and eating their pills! You wouldn’t do that, would you? Treat medical cannabis with the same respect, and if you do, chances are good that person will get you high anyway. This is the nature of smoking medical cannabis, it gets you stoned and your instincts are to share it with those around you. I firmly believe medical cannabis is a communal experience, and you get higher with other people then you do by smoking alone. In the era of COVID, sharing a bowl of medical cannabis has fallen out of fashion. Cannabis edibles are becoming more popular just because they are clever, easier to share, and don’t induce coughing fits. Coughing in the middle of a crowd smoking medical cannabis is not a good look, when so many people are still getting sick.

I don’t know if my girlfriend approves of medical cannabis

In almost every way, Vera and I are a perfect match.

We are both in horror movies and working out, we both enjoy cooking, and eating healthy food.

She likes to have her feet rubbed, and I don’t mind trading one massage for another. We are the best of friends, and the last six months have been amazing. She wants us to move in together, and I am almost 100% on board with the idea. We still have a couple of minor disputes, which might become big ones if we live together. Vera does not smoke medical cannabis, and furthermore the smell of it repulses her, so I can’t even smoke when I’m in the room with her. My main concern is that I need to know for sure if she is against the smell and the smoke of medical cannabis, or if she is against the idea of me getting high. Thanks to the advances in modern medical cannabis, I can get high all day every day without ever lighting a bowl. Cannabis edibles are widely available, and quite powerful if you know which brands to buy. If Vera doesn’t want a smoky house, I can respect that and we can live together, but if she has an issue with me using medical cannabis, that might be a bigger obstacle. I don’t mean to say that I would choose medical cannabis over Vera, but honestly what I would choose is both of them! But I can’t quit using medical cannabis because Vera says so, or I would resent her for it.

Medical cannabis makes game night fun

After Buzz got his prescription, our weekly game nights got a lot more fun.

Buzz and I were friends back in high school, which was over thirty years ago.

For most of the time in between then and now we had no contact. We had careers, wives, and kids, and never thought about the other for decades. After a random meeting in the grocery store we rekindled our old friendship, and started getting together for a game night once a week. We called it Game Night, but mostly we drank whisky and told stories. Then Max got his medical cannabis prescription, and game night took on a whole new level of importance. Every week Max would stop by the medical cannabis dispensary on the way to game night and grab a selection of edibles. At our age, smoking medical marijuana induces too many intense coughing fits, and in the era of COVID we try to cough as infrequently as possible. Cannabis edibles are just as potent as the buds, and a lot less stinky. A few cannabis edibles and a few shots of whisky make any game night amazing, even if we don’t get around to playing any games. The medical marijuana benefits are well documented, and I am glad that it is available to so many people who need it. I don’t need medical cannabis, I am quite healthy for my age, but hot damn is it fun to get high! I think that medical cannabis is wasted on the young, who don’t really appreciate how great it is!

The potency of medical cannabis

I had a pretty bad time getting myself free of opioids.

I had an accident at work, and this was a lot of years ago, when the medical community seemed to be handing out scripts for primo stuff at the drop of a hat.

I got myself hooked on pills, and it was quite a journey getting free of them. Ever since then I avoid prescription medicine like it is heroin or crack. I don’t smoke crack, and I don’t use opium – but I do enjoy medical cannabis. This is the one facet of modern medicine than I can support, because despite its current incarnation, the origins of medical cannabis are in the earth itself. The hippies were probably the first modern subculture to promote medical cannabis use for a healthier mind, but the stuff they smoked is a far cry from what we have. The same industry that got America hooked on opioids turned its attention to medical cannabis, and used high technology and science to make it stronger than ever before. In the past everyone knew that medical cannabis was not addictive, but the same may not be true for modern strains, which have a higher THC content than anything that grows naturally from the earth. Although I do use a medical cannabis dispensary for now, I am working on growing my own plants. Although it is hard work to grow your own medical marijuana, at least I will be 100% sure all the resulting buds are natural and organic. Lab grown cannabis may be stronger, but it’s not better.

Etiquette for medical cannabis

There is such a thing as weed etiquette, and the more you smoke, the more you should know about it.

For example, if someone hands you a joint, don’t slobber all over the thing, please! In fact, don’t even touch your lips to the end of it, because chances are it’s all damp and gross anyway.

If you are a regular smoker, you should know how to smoke a joint without making a mess. If you are sharing a bowl, light in around the edges, and don’t kill all the green on top with one hit. This is just common cannabis courtesy, I think, but so many people seem to not know how to interact with others in a civilized manner. In a time when medical cannabis is so prevalent, it is more important than ever before to understand this new kind of courtesy. It’s okay if you are a new medical cannabis user and didn’t know all these things, potheads are very accommodating people. I don’t want to call them cannabis rules because that makes it sound too stodgy and formal. Think of medical cannabis as a toy in kindergarten, when you weren’t allowed to just take toys from the other kids. This applies to other products, as well, but basically anything that you can get from the medical cannabis dispensary is covered under this kind of etiquette. Be cordial, use manners, and don’t touch medical cannabis that does not belong to you… chances are someone will offer you a bowl before too long! We are very generous with our weed.

Medical marijuana helps me sleep better at night

The doctor gave me medical information to read about the marijuana plant

When I was a kid, I had a really tough time falling asleep at night. My mom and dad sent me to bed around 9 and I often laid in bed listening to the sound of the air conditioner. I tried to count sheep and I tried to think of a million things that might make me sleepy. Nothing seemed to work. I told my mom and dad that I often stayed awake until past midnight. When my mom realized that I was having trouble, she made an appointment for me to meet with the doctor. The doctor told my mom that the insomnia was part of my natural growth spurt and I would eventually make up for the Lost sleep. The guy was an absolute quack. He was totally crazy and didn’t do anything to help a serious problem. I had insomnia problems all through Elementary and high school. Evan in college, I suffered with staying awake all night. Even if I was dead tired, I still couldn’t stay asleep for more than 2 or 3 hours at a time. When the doctor recommended medical marijuana, I was honestly willing to try just about anything. I knew that medical marijuana could help with a number of ailments and problems, but I did not know that insomnia was one of the issues that marijuana could treat. The doctor gave me medical information to read about the marijuana plant. He told me to consider the decision. I thought marijuana sounded like a great idea if it was going to help me get more sleep

Cannabis business place

I was tied up all day and couldn't leave the house

I didn’t want to miss out on the sale at the marijuana dispensary today, but I knew it was going to be a very busy day.

I had a ton of errands to run and a whole list of chores that needed to be completed.

I wanted to take advantage of the sale at the marijuana dispensary, so I went online or early in the morning and I placed an online pickup order. When you place an online pickup order, you don’t have to specify a time. This allows me to pick up my products anytime I want, while still enjoying the sale prices. I ordered 3 grams of cannabis concentrate. On that particular day, they were buy two and get the third one for a nickel. I also purchased a half ounce of top shelf Blue Dream flower. The Blue Dream flower was 31% THC. I received an email confirmation after the order was placed. My order was ready for pickup about 20 minutes later. I didn’t rush around, because I knew it would be there all day. I went to the grocery store and I went to the pharmacy. I went to the Bank to pick up cash for the marijuana order. On my way out of the bank, I got a flat tire. I don’t know what happened to the tire, but it went flat very quickly. When I left the grocery store, I happened to look at all of my tires and they were just fine. I hit something that caused all of the air to leak out quickly. When I called for a tow truck, they would only take me back to my apartment. I never made it to the dispensary that day to pick up my online order.

It's hard to smoke a bowl on the beach

I love to use marijuana when I have a day off work, even if I am going to be away from the house.

I absolutely love to use recreational marijuana and go to the beach.

I like the way the waves feel on my legs and feet when I am under the influence of recreational marijuana. My friends and I like to use marijuana at the beach, but it is too difficult to smoke a bowl. The wind is constantly blowing in every direction. It’s virtually impossible to use a lighter and I’ve never found a way to keep a bowl burning. Since it is extremely difficult to smoke on the beach, I started buying a vape pen for on-the-go marijuana use. The marijuana vape pen is actually a long cylindrical battery with a hot chamber that heats the marijuana concentrate to the perfect temperature. The marijuana concentrate coil does not require any Flame or burning, so the discrete and portable device can be used anywhere. I take my marijuana vape pen to the beach, but I also take the vape pen to a number of outdoor venues like restaurants, bars, and concerts. It’s also nice to have a vape pen when I’m out and about shopping. I can quickly hit the vape pen in the car and there is hardly any odor at all. I don’t smell and neither does my new Tesla. A disposable vape pen is truly a discreet and easy way to use marijuana during any time of the day and in any place at all.

My car battery needed to be jumped

I had a marijuana delivery on the 5th floor of an apartment building and the stairs were broken.

It took me 10 minutes to climb 5 flights of stairs. I was tired and winded by the time I got to the top. I had to take a short break so I wasn’t huffing and puffing when I knocked on the door of the customer. I had a whole bag of marijuana supplies in my hand. The customer had ordered an ounce of marijuana flower as well as some cannabis concentrate and pre-rolls. The customer gave me a $15 tip, which I thought was incredibly generous. The guy mentions the broken elevator, so I guess he felt sorry for me. When I got back down to the car, I realized that I left my lights on. My car battery turned over the first time, but my car would not start. The second time I tried the key, I got a completely dead battery. I honestly didn’t know what to do. I wasn’t close to the dispensary and I didn’t have anyone to call. I only news a customer, so I decided to call the person. I carefully explained the situation and I told the customer that I would happily return his $15 tips if he would allow me to jump my battery from his vehicle. The guy came down the stairs a few minutes later with a raincoat and umbrella. He helped me charge my car battery and he let me keep the $15 tip. I was super thankful for a helpful customer, because the dead battery could have been a disaster instead of a slight inconvenience.
