Can’t believe how easy it is to get your medical cannabis card now

Coming across a medical marijuana card during the early days of my state’s medical marijuana program was actually more challenging than it is these days.

There was no online portal whatsoever for applying for a state-issued medical marijuana card. You really had to send a physical application in the mail, & I had to wait a long time the first time on a rejection because I cropped my photo the wrong way entirely. It was a fairly serious nightmare attempting to deal with these drawbacks just to achieve access to legal medical cannabis. I know it was a two month wait after I had to send a new application in to service the tiny drawbacks with the initial one. It was relatively exciting when I finally was able to get the reply envelope. I was also starting to panic in my mind with the fear that it would be another rejection. I’m actually so happy that the letter was simply informing me that my application was accepted & approved by the Office of Medical Marjuana Use. The envelope also happened to contain my proper medical marijuana card. Nowadays this process is something that occurs in no time. You fill in the application online, pay digitally with a credit card, & then you’re approved very quickly. The OMMU emails you a temporary medical marijuana card you can utilize at pot shops until your proper one shows up in the mail. It couldn’t be more easy to apply for & renew your medical marijuana card in this state. I’m pretty cheerful that the OMMU has gotten rid of the absurd paper applications of the 20th century. It was a nightmare for their employees, as the date information had to be inputted manually by them. Now that it’s finally digital, the patients do a fair amount of the data-entry work that used to be worked on by the employees.

Medical Cannabis Cards

Thoroughly impressed with local cannabis dispensary

The cannabis dispensary near me offers recreational products for anyone 21 years of age and older.

I simply need to show a valid ID and I can shop there.

I am delighted with everything about the store. The facility is quite big, brand new and very modern. It includes free parking and has an on-site ATM. The front of the store is constructed of floor to ceiling windows that offer a view of the products inside. I like to see what’s in the glass display cases. The cannabis products all meet regulations for compliance. The labels include accurate listing of potency, cannabinoids, strain and effects. The cannabis dispensary features a dab bar, vape lounge, work area and on-site bakery. I have never used the lounge, dab bar or work area, but I have peeked inside. The set up is very comfy and luxurious looking. These areas are sequestered at the back of the dispensary for the sake of privacy. I’ve shopped for bakery products and loved them. The line of products offered by the cannabis dispensary is incredible. Anything I want, they sell it. There are all sorts of hybrids, sativas, indicas and hybrid tinctures, flower, prerolls, edibles, beverages, vapes and topicals. The concentrates include budder, hash, rosin, shatter, sauce and diamonds. I can find the most popular strains, such as Wedding Cake, Girl Scout Cookies and Super Glue. Another benefit of the dispensary is the budtenders. They are all friendly & knowledgeable. They are always happy to offer recommendations, advice & just chat. The prices are reasonable, and the dispensary recently added delivery services to my local area. I just love shopping online and selecting delivery. My products arrive at my door within a few hours.

Cousin gets hired for cannabis delivery

It isn’t as hard to become a cannabis delivery driver as I would have assumed. My cousin Charlie told me that he’s working for a dispensary, doing the deliveries. I was so surprised that I looked into the required qualifications. Charlie isn’t exactly the type of guy I would hire to be professional and punctual. His work history isn’t overly impressive. However, he has a clean driving record. He has never even had a parking ticket but has lots of experience driving. Apparently that is all that’s required for the job. It is not difficult to become an uber or lyft driver. It is pretty much that easy to drive for a cannabis dispensary. A lot of drivers prefer this because they are not responsible for human passages. It seems less of a hassle to deliver weed. The job also provides a decent monetary incentive. It offers a higher wage than for pizza delivery. The people ordering the product are probably in a good mood and delighted to receive delivery. After further research, I found that medical marijuana delivery drivers go through a more rigorous screening process. They need to pass a background check and be more knowledgeable about cannabis products. There is more paperwork necessary for the job because of handling prescriptions. It still isn’t as difficult as I would have thought. Just about anyone can get hired for a delivery job. My cousin likes working with cannabis products. He is good at finding homes & very friendly when he greets people at the door. He likes cannabis delivery better than any other delivery service he has done in the past. He makes more money. I would guess he earns between 20 and 30 grand a year from the cannabis dispensary.

I get cannabis delivered now

I sold my car.

My job has changed to online based every since COVID.

I work out of a home office. I rarely need to leave the house. Everything I require or want can typically be delivered to me. I saw no reason to maintain a vehicle. Why should I pay for tune-ups, tires, insurance, gas, repairs, licensing & inspections? Why worry about traffic and parking? I am glad that I no longer have a car to worry about. I am an easy bike ride away from shops, restaurants, friends and all sorts of things. If I need something at the grocery store and can’t wait for delivery, I use my bike basket to transport it. I am very lucky that my local marijuana dispensary now provides delivery services in my area. For a while, I had to make the trip via my bike. It was not pleasant. It is a 30 minute ride one way. I made myself do it for the sake of getting the products I want. I would make it a workout. I’d fill my water bottle, put on my sneakers and dress for the weather. I’d set aside enough time for the journey. The bike ride home, fighting traffic and a steady uphill route was especially awful. Now that the cannabis dispensary includes delivery, I am so thankful. I can order way more now. I can try out heavier items such as edibles and beverages. Before, the weight of the products was an issue for me. I was limited to gummies, tinctures, vapes and compact things. I couldn’t try cannabis cooking oil or butter. I don’t need to worry about size or weight anymore. And if I place a big enough order, delivery from the cannabis dispensary is free.

medical marijuana dispensary near me

We were right across the street from the cannabis dispensary, but it took an hour for delivery.

My husband and I were on a road trip last weekend.

We set a time when we were going to stop, and when the time came, we pulled over into whatever little town we were in and found the nearest hotel.

It wasn’t until we got into her hotel room and were looking outside that we realized we were right across the street from a marijuana dispensary. Since we were in a state that had legal recreational marijuana, we checked it out. Luckily for us, there was a menu inside our hotel room for the marijuana dispensary. What made us laugh was that they offered free delivery to this hotel. We went through the menu and found a couple of things we thought we would be interested in, and called the marijuana dispensary. We gave them a room number and asked for delivery service. The budtender chuckled and said that they did a lot of room service to this hotel. She said they got to ‌where they didn’t even call‌ it marijuana delivery service, but just plain room service. She told me her marijuana delivery would be there within a couple of minutes. After almost an hour, are marijuana delivery finally showed up. The girl who brought it upstairs for us apologized for being so late. The young woman who was supposed to make the marijuana delivery for us couldn’t find the hotel. I assumed ‌she was new in town, just like we were. The young woman told us she had lived here her entire life. She had never done marijuana delivery before, and never realized this hotel was across the street. Maybe she uses too much marijuana to be making deliveries?

I love the ease of renewing my medical marijuana card on the internet

I understand why many older folks hate how everything is digital these days, between ordering food from a local restaurant or simply checking-in for a doctor’s appointment.

You’re expected to coordinate your entire life with a smartphone, something that many people don’t even own.

However, there are still many advantages to these new digital ordering and scheduling systems. Personally, it has never been easier for me to order food at restaurants. I don’t stand in a crowded tavern for 30 minutes waiting for a bag of food that was supposed to be ready 20 minutes prior. I simply wait in my car until the hostess texts my phone. Whether or not this is a seamless process for others, I cannot say; but for me, I have never felt more at ease ordering food and groceries with curbside pickup and carry-out. When I first got a medical marijuana card the first year my state had the legal cannabis program, I had to send in a paper application with a check. I waited four weeks to find out that I had accidentally set an incorrectly-cropped photo, and had to resend my application again. Now when I go to renew my medical marijuana card with the state, I get an immediate confirmation once my payment method is accepted. Then the state emails you a temporary card that you can take to medical cannabis dispensaries until your actual medical marijuana card arrives in the mail a week or two later. I can’t imagine streamlining the process of renewing your medical marijuana card anymore than this.

I’m sick of getting cannabis flower products with mold in them

Mold is a fact of life and a constant product of the environment that we live in.

You cannot rid the world of mold anymore than you can rid it of soil or sand.

Furthermore, unlike soil and sand, mold spores in a process of constant regeneration from dying plants that wither and decay. The minute you walk outside, there are spores in the air entering your lungs. There are ways to mitigate it in your indoor environment for sure, but you’re left to the elements when you go outside. Certainly some environments are much worse than others. This is why some can’t live in my state, as we are known to possess some of the highest mold levels in the country. That’s what makes it difficult to grow marijuana in this climate, because any outdoor grow operations will naturally have some spores making it onto the plants. Even if there isn’t enough moisture for bud rot to occur before harvest, the spores could slowly release toxins while the flower products sit on a shelf in a plastic bottle. It’s frustrating to pay $50 for an eighth of an ounce of weed and then open it and smell a musty odor. And it’s even more frustrating if the cannabis dispensary refuses to take returns on defective products. There is one specific cannabis company in my state that takes returns for virtually any reason, and that’s a huge selling point for me. If I don’t like something or the product I receive is defective, the cannabis dispensary is willing to do an exchange or to issue a credit towards a future purchase. This includes situations when the cannabis flower products are contaminated at some point along the product line.
