When I was out of town for work last weekend, I ended up staying at a hotel that was on a strip near a whole bunch of different cannabis dispensaries. I was shocked because I thought that there were cannabis rules and regulations that said that dispensaries could not be that close together. But somehow I ended up staying right next to an entire row of cannabis stores. This was a pretty interesting situation for me to be in, seeing as how I never used cannabis products at all but I have been wanting to try some. Since I was out of town and staying by myself, I figured that it was the perfect time for me to go to a cannabis dispensary and purchase some cannabis products and try them out. I didn’t have anything else to do, and I was going to be locked up in my hotel room where it was safe and I wouldn’t be driving or falling asleep somewhere so I decided to go and try it out. I headed out to the role of cannabis dispensaries and when I went into the first place, I knew that I had found the right place for me. The people there were very nice and they offered me all kinds of cannabis knowledge so that I could figure out what kind of cannabis products I wanted to purchase. They had cannabis flower products, cannabis cartridge products, vape products, and even cannabis drinks. I settled on some cannabis gummies and also some cannabis brownies that were pre wrapped. Then I went back to the hotel room and had myself a great time! I have never been so relaxed on a work trip.
I saw that the library is offering classes
The other day when I was checking out my library status online, I noticed something on their website that really surprised me.
- Usually, the library hosts several different classes each month for the community.
Normally, the classes end up being about local history or how to do certain things around the house or things like that. However, when I looked at the calendar for the library for this month, I saw that they are going to be offering a medical marijuana education class. I thought that was really interesting, and so I read the description of the class. The medical marijuana class is supposed to show you how to get a medical marijuana card if you are interested in having one. Not only that, though, but they are going to help you learn all about medical marijuana and medical marijuana rules and regulations. They also said that they are going to bring in a medical marijuana benefits handout page so that people can learn about all the different things that medical marijuana can help you with. I already know most of this stuff because I feel like I am basically an expert on marijuana of all kinds. But I was really glad to see that the local library is getting on board with the fact that there are many medical uses for marijuana. One of the medical marijuana doctors in our area is going to be at the class too, and I think that’s a really great thing just in case some of the people in attendance have questions. I hope they have a great turnout for the class.
My husband and I went to the cannabis dispensary
Last weekend, my husband and I were looking for something a little bit different to do on date night.
We were both sick and tired of the whole dinner and a movie idea, and we really wanted to try out something new.
That’s when we remembered that a new cannabis dispensary had opened up a couple of miles away from our neighborhood. The cannabis dispensary had been open for only a month or two, and we had never been to it before at that point. We decided to call them up to see if we needed an appointment, and once the people at the cannabis dispensary gave us a time slot, we drove over there and prepared ourselves to be amazed. In our state, you can buy all kinds of different Cannabis products for recreational purposes, even if you don’t have a medical marijuana card.We knew when we went into the cannabis dispensary that we were going to come out of there with some great cannabis products, but neither of us were prepared for the giant cannabis product menu that they presented us with when we went inside the waiting area. This place had all kinds of cannabis products and CBD products. I was the most interested in trying out the cannabis drinks and cannabis tropicals, but my husband was very much interested in the cannabis candy products that they had there. We ended up spending a small fortune in the cannabis dispensary and then we went home and tried some of it out. It was actually the best date night that we have had in a long time!
Open mic night at the dispensary lounge
It took a while to really catch on, but I have to say that the open mic night at the smokers lounge has become the most must-see event of the week.
I remember before COVID there was a thriving scene for nightlife, a lot of clubs and bars and almost every place had live music. That seems like a lifetime ago, doesn’t it? Society has reopened but the local scene was decimated, and most of those nightlife hot spots never reopened. Then a few months ago the local cannabis dispensary opened a smokers lounge, and started hosting an open mic night. It was a tiny stage, no room for a band, but if you wanted to sing or play guitar or tell jokes, then you could sign up at the cannabis dispensary during the week. I had always wanted to try my hand at stand up comedy, but was always too nervous. At the cannabis dispensary I could get stoned out of my gourd before I got on stage, which should settle my nerves just fine. I haven’t done it yet, but I will one day, for now I just go to the cannabis dispensary lounge almost every night and see what they have to offer. There is something very chill about buying a few grams of OG Kush and then sitting down and having a conversation with a friendly stranger while you twist up a joint. As I get more and more comfortable in the cannabis dispensary lounge, I am building up more confidence, which will eventually get me up on that stage!

I had to hustle to find cannabis at the beach
What could be more exciting than a surprise trip to the beach? Not only that, but my wife had rented us a sweet little bungalow right on the water for three days and nights.
- No kids, no work, no worries, just the two of us having a second honeymoon.
This was an amazing surprise, and I was caught completely off guard. She picked me up from work and we started driving to the shore. She had packed up everything we needed for the weekend, or so she thought. It wasn’t until we got to the hotel room I realized she didn’t bring my cannabis. I am a daily pot smoker, and although I have never been prescribed cannabis by a doctor, I consider it an essential part of my day. Cannabis keeps me cool, calm, and collected, and away from the temper issues that used to plague me. My wife understands how much I rely on cannabis, and was deeply apologetic for forgetting it. She was afraid I would be angry, but instead I kissed her, told her not to worry, that I would be able to find a local cannabis dispensary the next morning. It turns out that this sleepy little vacation spot only allows for medical marijuana sales, and since I didn’t have a prescription they wouldn’t sell to me! I just hung around the beach out front until I saw some cool looking guys, and paid them twice the retail price to buy me a few grams of OG Kush. After that, the weekend went like a dream.
Cannabis has become mother’s little helper
I am a part of a mother’s group in town.
I wanted to know what the secret was to remaining so cool and calm when trying to parent a toddler.
All these women seem to have their stuff together, and I wanted to know how they did it! It turns out the secret was wine, nothing magical or philosophical about it. They would slip a little wine, along with some fizzy water, in their refillable water bottles and just sip on it throughout the day. I didn’t want to drink wine all day long, but the experience did motivate me to go to the cannabis dispensary and pick up some edibles. The point was to find something that could relax me, and for me that “something” was cannabis. I obviously couldn’t smoke marijuana around the toddler, or leave him unattended to go smoke outside, so edibles were the perfect solution. The only potential problem was him getting big enough to find, grab, and eat the edibles himself. I solved the problem by always keeping my edibles into a sealable container, one that he wouldn’t be capable of opening for several years. For me edibles fit the bills, and served the same purpose that wine does for those other moms. Wine makes me sleepy, but a nice pot brownie infused with sativa is perfect for my lazy morning playing with the baby. My mom seems to think that it’s dangerous for me to have any cannabis in my system while I watch the baby, but I think she was indoctrinated by the old Reefer Madness mentality.
How does my Grandma have better cannabis than I do?
This state better get off it’s butt and keep up the fight for legalization! We were off to a good start, and then two years ago after medical usage was legalized, they sort of gave up on it.
- I feel happy for all the sick people out there who benefit from medicinal pot, but I am just wanting to get high and not have to worry about the cops harassing me.
What I need is for recreational marijuana use to become legal, so I can start using a dispensary like a normal person. As it stands I am buying ditch weed from a local high school kid, which sucks, meanwhile my elderly grandma is getting OG Kush whenever she wants it. Because of her cataracts she has the medical marijuana prescription card, which will get her access to any dispensary in the state. Alas, due to those same cataracts she cannot drive, so she relies on me to get her to and from the cannabis dispensary. I am always amenable to such a task, and will not hesitate to ask her to kick loose a couple grams of cannabis for my efforts. I have my own marijuana at home, but hers is always so much better I get some anytime I have a chance. My stuff is always the local home grown marijuana, nothing exotic or fancy. I had never tasted OG Kush before she gave me some of hers. The same thing is true with Purple Haze, Blue Dream, and Girl Scout Cookies, strains I had only talked about and never had the chance to use.
The kids were smoking marijuana behind the church
My wife and I were walking down the street last weekend, and we passed by the church.
- I wanted to stop inside the church to speak to the pastor about the weekend events.
The pastor was already gone for the day and the church was locked up tight. I saw a couple of kids in the parking lot, but nobody was allowed on the property after hours. My wife and I walked past the kids to shoo them off the property and they were smoking weed. The kids were teenagers or younger, and they were smoking a huge marijuana joint. There was a stinky cloud of smoke in the parking lot. The kids scattered like ants when they saw us coming near. I didn’t see any of the faces, but I’m sure they are kids from the neighborhood. The next time we have a meeting at the church, I’m going to bring up the security system in the back parking lot. Other people inside of the church should know and understand that the kids are using the parking lot for illegal activities. Even though marijuana is legal for medical and recreational use in the state, I am certain none of the children were old enough to legally purchase or possess the product. I knew this type of problem would occur when they legalized weed. This country is going downhill and I think recreational marijuana is tied to the decline. After we legalize weed, what’s next? Do we legalize heroin and cocaine or other drugs that people like to use for fun? Where does the madness end?
The store manager was acting like a tyrant
I usually stop at the dispensaries after work on Thursdays. I prefer Thursday, because it is the day of the week when the dispensary has the most sales. I didn’t recognize the person working behind that counter, but she was wearing a tag that said she was the store manager. She must have been new, because I had never seen her before. While I was waiting for my order to be filled, I heard the manager talking to a couple of the employees in the back of the store. She was extremely loud and appeared to be yelling. I rarely hear anyone talking in the back of the store when I wait for orders. It was rare to hear someone yelling. The store manager came out of the side door at one point and I told the security guard to get out of her way. She used a curse word and didn’t seem to care that the customers heard her voice. I waited for the budtender to call my name and I grabbed all of my marijuana supplies and headed outside till my car. When I got home, I decided to contact the corporate office for the dispensary. There are a couple of different places in the city and they all belong to one company. I left a voicemail message for someone to call me back. I received a telephone call first thing on Friday morning and the person on the phone wanted more information about the events that occurred at the dispensary. I found out that I was not the first person to call about the disturbance.
I waited all night outside the dispensary
On the eve of 4/20, my friends and I waited all night outside the dispensary.
- We arrived around 2 in the morning.
My friends thought we were getting there too early, but someone else was pulling up in their car as we were looking for parking. We got to the front of the line first. It had been a chilly and cold evening and it was still quite cold outside since it was still dark. My friends and I wanted to be the first people to go into the dispensary. They were giving out prize bags to the first 100 people to walk through the doors. We weren’t even required to make a purchase, although my friends and I spent plenty of money at that dispensary. When the manager opened the doors, my friends and I walked through the door and saw all of the celebration and fanfare. There were streamers all over the dispensary and a couple of balloons situated in the corners. The manager gave my friends and I each a bag as we walked through that door. We browsed the items available for purchase, but we didn’t open the bag until we were outside. I decided to buy some of my favorite live resin concentrate, because it was 20% off that day. I purchased one of the more expensive products and received a second free gift with that purchase. The free gift was a pre-roll, but I didn’t mind spending a little bit more for the expensive live resin just to get a free gift. After all, that is exactly why my friends and I waited outside all night.
