They’re all barred from doing sales on Sundays, and all cannabis dispensaries must close by 7pm regardless of which night of the month it is
My town’s village council is only serving the interests of older generations and elderly folk. The noise ordinances make it impossible for any musicians to perform live music in this entire area, which was a large disappointment for me as soon as I arrived with my wife when the two of us actually moved in from out of state. On top of that, all of the fast food restaurants are located next to the interstate exit away from the residential cities. If you want to get a tasty bag of Wendy’s or McDonalds, you’ll have to take a 10 eighth drive in each direction on the way. But this isn’t even the worst area about living in this particular town. It’s even worse knowing that the two of us nearly didn’t have cannabis dispensaries in the first locale because the village council tried to prevent them all from entering. When that measure failed, they imposed ridiculous rules on the 3 dispensaries that operate within the village limits. Two of those rules involve when the dispensaries are allowed to be open. They’re all barred from doing sales on Sundays, and all cannabis dispensaries must close by 7pm regardless of which night of the month it is. In the rest of the state, some cannabis stores are open as late as 9pm or 10pm if you live in a dense metropolitan city. I don’t get it; if I drive 10 eighths into a neighboring village I can shop at a cannabis store well into the night, despite the fact that I can’t shop this late at a single down the road from my house? If this was a dry village as far as alcohol is concerned I would understand these rules, however they’re being inconsistent.
