Making a little bank of cannabis

I have to say that life has been going pretty great lately… or it had been, as of late, until last week.

  • To me the office life was great, I enjoyed what I did and hadn’t made any major upsets I was aware of.

Then the worst happened, and while in a staff meeting the boss said that more layoffs were coming, due to the flare up of the pandemic cutting into our sales. They started with the newest hires, so after only 8 months I was asked to leave. This one really hurts, because good jobs are not easy to find, and this corporation had a medical insurance program that covered my medicinal cannabis prescription. There was a co-pay at the cannabis dispensary, of course, however still that was a fraction of the overall price. I knew a good thing when I had it, so each time I went to the cannabis store I got the max amount allowed by the prescription. This was way, way more weed after that I could possibly smoke in that time frame, although I kept buying it just to have it, just in case. I got a large metal tin, with a special lid that worked with my vacuum sealer, and started keeping my extra cannabis inside it. I called it my bank account, and over the course of a few months I accumulated about 6 ounces of cannabis. At the rate I smoke, I figure this is enough cannabis to last me for a few more months, maybe a little longer if I smoke a little less. I don’t have any cash saved up, however at least I have cannabis.

A little pot never hurt anyone

My job got a whole lot better once I got the new job title.

It came with more cash, which was good.

Additionally it came with an office, and that was the game-changer for me. Most of the employees here work in little work stations. There is a single main room, legitimately large, that is crammed full of benches and monitors, with identical job setups in each of them. I worked there for almost a year, and never liked it. Now I have my own office, which means I can stop sneaking hits from my vape pen throughout the morning. After a few hits, I regularly keep my bong and my jar of cannabis in a drawer in my besk. It doesn’t matter if I am heating up lunch, typing away, going to the bathroom, or in a meeting, I love to always take cannabis hits throughout the night… and on weekends through the afternoon, as well. At work that will not go over so hot, of course, so for a month I brought in a vape pen with a nicotine cartridge in it instead of cannabis oil. I told everyone about quitting cigarettes (which was kinda right) and how this kind of vape pen didn’t work with THC infused products (which was totally not right at all). After that I could take puffs of THC infused cannabis oil at work from time to time, although I still had to be cautious about it. It doesn’t smell like marijuana, at all, but there is just a hint of it, which can make people mindful. So you see why having an office is so great, now I can smoke as much cannabis oil as I want all afternoon long!

I can get pot anywhere now

I never thought I would see the day when I could buy CBD from anyone and anywhere.

Of course, there are some places that won’t allow it, but that will quickly change.

Back in high school, when I first started smoking, I had to roam around and call everyone I knew to find anyone who had some marijuana. I regularly had to settle for the worst kind of pot, because that was all I could afford. Now the whole situation has changed, the laws are moving in the right direction, and there are cannabis stores in every neighborhood in the state! As of yet, the law says that you can only legally buy cannabis that you need medically. You need a medical cannabis card issued by the state. I have neither of those things, yet, so while cannabis is more widely available than ever, it is still just out of my fingers. Thankfully, it is within reach of numerous friends and pals, who are enthusiastic to raise the cost and sell me a little of their cannabis. At least I don’t have to call around to people to find marijuana now, because all of those people will be holding! As cool as it is that CBD oil is available everywhere, I don’t really want CBD oil. I want to smoke real marijuana. I have never been into dabs, or hash on boiling knives, or anything costly-pants, I just want a fat sack of quality weed. In another year or more than one recreational marijuana use will finally be okay, and after that I won’t have to worry about it any more.

Able to choose what I wanted

I love to smoke, but I have always grown my own weed.

I live way out on the far stretches of farming country, and out here you need to see to your own wants.

If you want some fresh cheese, you need to get your bucket plus go working for it. If you want a water supply, you dig a well. If you want electricity, you need a generator, because the power lines don’t run this far out. So being a kid who wanted to try cannabis, I just grew my own marijuna plants, plus that was all I knew. After my first trip to a real cannabis store, my entire view of the world has been turned on its side. When your chances are limited, you just go with what you have, so I grew any cannabis seeds I got ahold of, regardless of what style they were. At the cannabis dispensary there are literally 200 kinds of marijuana (give or take, I didn’t really count them). There are pipes and bongs, there are edible candies infused with THC, plus entire lines of something called CBD oil, plus I don’t even know what that is. It was neat to see that amount of variety in 1 place, but on the other hand I was shocked when it came time to pick which cannabis I wanted. How could a man choose from that numerous kinds of marijuana? The budtender was legitimately neat, plus talked about the different kinds of cannabis, but ultimately I just wanted a lot of pot to get high on, plus nothing else mattered.

An ice cream truck becomes a cannabis truck

My Uncle Ian used to own a food truck and ran it in this town. For years that was his full time job, just driving from neighborhood to neighborhood, hitting the lights and stopping at parks. He was cruising around selling good food. Summers were busy, the winters not so much, although he had a big route plus made a living for a long time. The food truck has been sitting in his yard for a few years now, just getting worse and worse with rust, so I bought it from him. My plan is to use it as a promotional tool for the job, plus spruce it up as an ad for the cannabis dispensary. I have checked the laws, even the current laws identifiably for cannabis dispensaries, plus I cannot carry product or sell from the food van. As amazing as it would be to have a cannabis dispensary able to move around, we would all go to prison for trying to sell pot from an old food truck. Maybe 1 day we can, but for now we can only use it for promoting the cannabis dispensary, so that is what we will do. My plan is to go ahead with almost all of my original thoughts, plus make this aged car look like a cannabis truck that mimics the design of a food truck. So you know how they have pictures and bright colors painted on the side, well I am doing that with cannabis and using a lot of green. When it looks perfect we can park it out front of the cannabis dispensary as a billboard.

Her garden has quite the selection

I learned everything I know about maintaining a garden from my old babysitter Stella.

She was your typical older woman, always wearing long dresses, pearls, always glad to see me, always with a clean house plus a fridge full of snacks.

Stella liked to spend most of her free time in the garden. She was such a bright and wonderful lady as compared to her boyfriend who was serious plus cold looking all the time. Very recently, Stella showed me a new, hidden part of the garden I had never seen before, 1 filled with cannabis plants. Right then it all became clear to myself why she was so happy all the time, plus why she was outside so often, it was because she was smoking weed every day! I was quite blown away to learn that not only did my babysitter grow marijuana, not only did she smoke it, not only did she sell it to other members of her senior bus crew but that she had been doing it longer than I had been alive! She told me she began growing cannabis when my mother was still in grade school, however my whole life there have been amazing, green cannabis plants hidden behind Stella’s house plus I had never known it! I examined 1 of the cannabis plants, plus saw heavy buds filled with crystals, plus it made me desperate to have some. She cut a few juicy buds into a little bin for me to take back home with me, because she didn’t want me smoking marijuana before driving. Spending time in Stella’s garden just got a hell of a lot more interesting.

You need it to write better

The famous writer Ernest Hemmingway was stated as saying “write drunk, edit sober,” words of wisdom to this same day! I am not much of a drinker, more a weed smoker, but the sentiment remains the exact same, however when you are writing, creating your art, you need to relax your mind plus let the words come through you, but don’t overthink things, just write what comes to you then and there, plus this is where being stoned undoubtedly comes in handy for me.

  • When I am high I can totally relax, not worry about spelling or punctuation, plus just flow.

That is the gift of weed for the writers of the world. On the other hand, when it is time to revisit plus revise the writing, I don’t use cannabis beforehand because I want to be as sharp as possible for revising plus honing my words. The main problem I run into with writing while smoking a lot of weed is that occasionally an idea will seem clear to me, but not translate well on the page. The art of writing is to take the picture that has formed in your head, plus describe it perfectly on the page, so cannabis helps but can also hinder at times. The best sort of marijuana to use while writing is Sativa, of course, which is widely known for helping the creative juices start to go. Other kinds of cannabis might slow you down, or make you more introspective, so for writing or art I strongly say to start using Sativa. And for editing, I strongly say get some coffee, plus no cannabis at all.

My wife and I use marijuana to help with anxiety and PTSD

My wife and I lived in a southern state with medical marijuana. Both of us got our medical marijuana cards after going to see a doctor and paying the state a $70 fee. I wanted to start using medical marijuana for PTSD symptoms that were getting progressively worse and my wife wanted to use medical marijauna to help with her anxiety. We each had reasons that were listed under the adequate terms for medical marijuana. We were issued medical cards so we could buy anything from the local dispensary! The prices were insanely high. We had legal access to marijuana! Last year, my wife and I decided to sell our house and move to the west coast where weed is 100% legal, you don’t need a note from the doctor and you can smoke it legally inside your home. Before my wife and I moved, both of us were paying about $40 for an eighth of marijuana and that was smalls or popcorn buds. The first time I went to a recreational cannabis shop, I was amazed by the cheap prices, and recreational marijuana is so much cheaper than medical weed. I’m saving a ton of money now that both of us moved. Before both of us moved, everything was honestly pricey. Instead of paying $40 for an eighth of a flower, I can find several different strains from a multitude of growers for under $30 and a couple ounder $20. I did not realize that recreational marijuana was going to be so cheap. We would have moved out west years ago. The weather is clear and hot and the people are friendly and welcoming.
