I love my job.
I have never felt so interesting in my whole life, and I owe it all to this new generation of smokers.
It is thrilling news to see weed being legalized in so many places. The federal government is still behind the times, but they will be catching up soon enough. The point is that young people today are growing up in an era when marijuana is not demonized. For generations every child was raised to think that smoking dope was a gateway drug that would result in them being a homeless crack addict. Anyone who ever actually smoked cannabis knew how mild and fun it could be, yet we were still indoctrinated and made to think it was dangerous somehow. Kids today don’t have to hear all those lies, because the science behind medical cannabis has cleared everything up. I work in a local cannabis dispensary, and the young people love asking me about my stories from the old days. I am over 60 years old, so I have lived through a lot of crazy times when it came to cannabis. The young smokers think it’s amazing how much trouble and effort I used to ensure just to buy some cannabis. They can simply walk into a store, or place an order through an online cannabis dispensary or delivery service. They love it when I tell stories about breaking into a marijuana farm to steal a few pounds, or being on the run from the law. To them, the old-timey days of pot smoking seem dangerous and romantic.
