On a Friday night, I usually take about 12 or 15 orders out for a delivery.
- Each one of the orders vary from 40 to 100 or more dollars.
When I finally returned to the store at the end of my shift, I’m tired and ready to go home. Things are always busier on the weekends when more people are ordering items from the marijuana dispensary. We have an updated online selection and most of our orders come from the website. It’s very easy to use and the orders are placed directly at the store in real time. The last deliveries are taken at 9, even though we don’t close the store until 11. Nobody wants to stay late, so we stopped delivering early so everyone has a chance to go home at the same time. All delivery drivers should be in the store when we close up for the night. I had one more delivery at the end of the night on Friday and I came back to the store and the manager let half of the crew go home early. Nobody ever lets me go home early when there is a driver out late with an order. I was a little aggravated. I did not want to complain to the boss, but I was certainly feeling frustrated. Next Friday I am going to request to leave when I am done with all of my marijuana deliveries. If the boss does not let me go then I will certainly have something to complain about and some good information to back up my suspicion that some people are treated differently than others.
