For the past three months, I have been patiently waiting for a new recreational cannabis dispensary to open.
- The owner of the recreational cannabis dispensary bought the property and put up a sign the next day.
People in the neighborhood were a little aggravated because the new pot shop is very close to the high school. It’s not against the law unless it is less than 1000ft, and the shop is three blocks away. Unfortunately, construction has been moving very slowly. I was beginning to worry that the recreational cannabis dispensary would never open. Last weekend, I went to the mall and I passed the shop. There was a new sign in front of the property. The dispensary is going to open on 420. The grand opening celebration will include free giveaways and food, prizes, sales, and a live band. I think that is fantastic advertising, and they might have been waiting the whole time so they could open on April 20th. 420 is a huge holiday for people that use marijuana products. Other dispensaries in town have sales already posted in the lobby or online. Opening the dispensary on that day was a genius marketing and advertising idea. I walked up to the shop window, but it was completely dark and empty inside the building. I was excited to see if they had any information online. I went to the store website as soon as I got home, but it is still under construction. They didn’t have anything on the page except the logo for the cannabis shop. They still have a lot to do if they plan to open in three weeks.
