My friends came over for motion picture night and a bunch of us decided to go outside on the porch to smoke a recreational marijuana joint. I had something entirely dank and it smelled pretty strong. My friends and I were not making too much noise, however the buddy upstairs came out on the porch and she flipped her light switch on and off. That is a proper sign that she is frustrated and complaining. She often flips her lights on and off if she wants us to be quieter. My wifey and I have been living at the lake house for the past 6 weeks and this lady has been a problem the whole time. I went back into the lake house to watch the rest of the motion picture and a couple of our friends stayed outside on the porch to smoke. They were talking about pigskin and sports and they were being a little loud, however they entirely weren’t rowdy. There was absolutely no reason for the buddy to contact the police department. When the police officer showed up, they told us that there was a complaint about noise and the smell of marijuana. All of us told the officer that the two of us were smoking marijuana and a portion he reminded myself and others that the porch is technically a public area. The law states that the two of us have to smoke inside of our lake house or the two of us can be given a fine and a ticket, however everyone went inside of the lake house after the buddy decided to call the police and split up all of the fun.
