The officer told me the automobile smelled like weed

Medical and recreational marijuana sales were legalized in the state where our friends and family live.

I often buy recreational marijuana supplies from a cannabis dispensary in our small town.

I wanted to go and see some friends that live in a nearby state. That state doesn’t have legal recreational marijuana. I did not want to run out of pot while I was going to see them, so I drove to the dispensary first and purchased an ounce of dried marijuana flower. The basket made our entire automobile reek like a marijuana dispensary. The smell is taxing to get out of the car. My new home reeks like marijuana too. I am sure our clothes, overcoats, hats, and sneakers all reek like weed as well. I was driving to our friend’s stadium on Monday and I was speeding. I was only over the speed limit by more than nine miles, however the cop decided to pull me over at the side of the street. As soon as he walked up to the car, the guy drew his weapon and told me to put both of our hands on the wheel. I did as instructed, however I instantaneously asked the officer why I was being arrested. The officer said our automobile smells like marijuana. He wanted permission to search the vehicle, however I refused. I told the officer that I had a medical marijuana prescription card and he did not ask any more questions. I wasn’t even telling the truth, however the guy moved away from the automobile and offered me a ticket for speeding. Things could have gone a lot worse, especially in such a bad section of town.
