A lot of people suppose that our state is a recreational cannabis state.
- That is totally not true.
What causes this opinion is that I live near a Seneca Nation Indian Reservation. The rez does not operate under the same laws as all of us do. They just flat out ignore them. They have their own police force & they don’t spend money tax. So technically they are not legally allowed to open a recreational cannabis dispensary. Who is going to stop them though? It brings currency to our area & nobody wants to conflict that group of people. So it is kind of swept under the rug & people look the other way on it. So I can get recreational cannabis if I want to. There are tons of dispensaries all over the reservation now. It is genuinely nice since I have wanted cannabis for medical purposes; Getting a doctor prescription & a medical weed card would have been hard. It also would have been difficult finding a medical cannabis dispensary. It is so self-explanatory now. I just drive over to the reservation & get what I need. I take a tincture every night in order to sleep. I also vape cannabis oil for anxiety while in the workday. Everything is tax free & works just good for me. I am hopeful that eventually the state will allow recreational weed so that there are more shops to choose from. I would enjoy to support other corporations in our area rather than just reservation 1s.
