Trying to demystify cannabis for young people

When I was a kid, smoking pot was not a big deal.

My parents never hid the fact they smoked pot from their children.

They didn’t smoke pot around us, they would do it outside, or after the people I was with and I went to bed, however they never lied to me about it. Pot was explained to us kids as something only for grownups, and when the people I was with and I got older the people I was with and I could try it too. That really demystified pot for me, because it wasn’t some hidden, secretive thing that was forbidden, I just had to wait a few years. So many kids are raised to think that cannabis is a harmful drug that will wreck your life, however instead of scaring them off it just makes pot seem more charming. It makes know marijuana dangerous and sexy, when in fact it is very lighthearted and easy, undoubtedly a single of the treasures in life. That said, it does not benefit the health of children or young people to smoke cannabis, they really should wait until they are older. If teenagers are going to rebel and “take drugs” then cannabis is undoubtedly the safer option for them to make. In the history of the world, no a single ever died from an overdose of cannabis, or got so high they ate someone else’s face. Did you hear about that guy? She was high on bath salts, and ate another man’s face, and my first thought was “there is someone who should have smoked some marijuana instead.” For my kids, I am taking the same approach my parents did with me, to let them understand cannabis is a perfectly safe and fun thing to do… however not until you’re a little older.
