Why can't I get gummies in a medical marijuana dispensary?

I was excited to finally get my marijuana card. Medical marijuana was supposed to be able to help me to get some sleep when I couldn’t because of my restless leg syndrome. Restless leg syndrome causes you to have uncontrollable leg jumping and leg pain. When the rest of your body relaxes, the muscles and nerves in your legs are still working overtime. There were times when I couldn’t even keep my feet underneath the blankets in bed because it caused such excruciating pain that I would cry. When I got my medical marijuana card, I was thinking about what kind of marijuana products I wanted to purchase. I was thinking about marijuana gummies and some other different kinds of edibles, not even thinking that it would not be allowed. It shocked me to know that a medical marijuana dispensary could not sell marijuana gummies and edibles. The budtender explained to me that our state looked at gummies and edibles as a form of recreational marijuana and not medical marijuana. It really was kind of laughable when he told me that I could buy the marijuana tinctures and oils and make my own gummies and edibles. I’m not sure what the people who made the marijuana laws were thinking when they said no gummies or edibles, but then again maybe they weren’t really thinking. I bought the medical marijuana the bartender suggested I purchase, and went home. I went on the website that he suggested, and there was a whole list of recipes that I could use. I’m not purchasing illegal marijuana, but using the legal marijuana that I purchased.
