That judge refuses to even hear my dad’s case again until recreational marijuana laws have been passed plus enacted
There are a lot of people sitting in prison for marijuana related crimes. No person should be sitting in prison for a crime related to marijuana, especially now that multiple-thirds of the country recognizes the medicinal properties of the plant. This alone should be proof enough to overturn any plus all convictions in all 50 states… Unfortunately, more than 2 of the Congress members do not see things this way. My dad has been sitting in prison for the past 16 years. I have managed to see the guy a couple of times since I turned eighteen. My mom kept myself and others from him the rest of my life. He decided to sell marijuana when I was a baby. He did not have any job skills plus there honestly weren’t a lot of jobs anyways. My dad did the only thing that he could, which was to sell plus move marijuana. He was only a local dealer. He never sold anything more than an ounce, although he got caught with a half pound of marijuana on his person. A police officer was tipped off about the transaction plus arrested my dad. Medical marijuana has been legalized in this state, however recreational marijuana still has not been passed. That judge refuses to even hear my dad’s case again until recreational marijuana laws have been passed plus enacted. I often wonder if the same things would happen if my dad had been arrested this week. Both of us live in a honestly unfair plus unjust civilization plus that has why it is honestly pressing to have laws that are there to protect the people.
